EPFC Human Rights Film Festival

EPFC is currently accepting submissions for the Human Rights Film Festival, an annual presentation of documentary films highlighting national and global social justice themes.
Basic human rights, including the right to peacefully assemble, the right to religious freedom, the right of political sovereignty and the right to life and liberty, are often taken for granted in Western industrialized nations. In the post-9/11 landscape, issues of human rights are increasingly complex and closer to home than ever before.

The 8th Annual Human Rights Film Festival will take place at EPFC on October 25 and 26, 2008. We are currently seeking films on human rights issues that promote thought, discussion, debate and action. Please send submissions on mini-DV or DVD, clearly marked with filmmaker contact information to:

Human Rights Film Festival
c/o Echo Park Film Center
1200 N. Alvarado Street
Los Angeles, CA 90026

Submissions must be received at Echo Park Film Center by September 22, 2008. The official festival program will be announced to filmmakers and the general public on October 6. There is no entry fee for the festival, however, please include a SASE for return mailing of submissions.
