THE SOUND WE SEE: VANCOUVER, GOTEBORG and MEXICO CITY

Started as an EPFC Youth Class in the fall of 2010, The Sound We See has become an ongoing international project celebrating city symphonies, community creative experience and handmade film. Come on down and check out the latest installments: SWS: Vancouver created by street-engaged youth in February 2016;  SWS: Goteborg created by a multi-generational group of students, artists and educators in Sweden’s second-largest city in November 2016; and SWS: CDMX created over a 24-hour period in January 2017 by new and established filmmakers associated with Laboratorio Experimental de Cine (aka LEC), Mexico City’s dynamic new experimental cinema collective. FLAX PRESENTS LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT LANDSCAPE

Jamahke, young Mohave artist works for the Colorado River Indian Tribe Museum in Parker, Arizona. Skate lover and creative person, he carries and perpetuates an important heritage by learning and practicing traditional Bird Songs, which constitute spiritual maps and journeys through Mohave ancestral lands. One day, Jamahke is hired by a film production company to scout for landscape and locations for a period feature film, taking place in Mohave aboriginal territory.
