“It may be four hours too long – I don’t care. To me, it’s not long enough,” once claimed Bob Dylan of Renaldo & Clara. This surreal film mixes concert footage of the Rolling Thunder Revue with backstage tour documentary, absurdist narrative dialog and improvised dramatic “scenes” penned by Sam Shepard together to form a strange and often humorous tapestry of fact and fiction. Directed by Bob Dylan, written by Bob Dylan and Sam Shepard, starring Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Sara Dylan, Ronnee Blakley, Ronnie Hawkins, Rubin Carter, Allen Ginsberg, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, Arlo Guthrie, Helena Kallianiotes and Harry Dean Stanton. Shown from a VHS recording of Channel 4 broadcast. No Events
We are excited and delighted to host our friends from Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain who are touring the US and Mexico with the Festival Internacional e itinerante de video-arte feminista. The objective is to talk about feminism - from art, from humor, from the everyday, from the margins, to make this festival a tool capable of questioning the social and cultural meaning of artistic practices as generators of critical thinking.”
