SFV Night: Night Owls

From 2006 to 2008, Youtube vlogger and filmmaker Brendan “Wetmovie1” Mitchell released a series of five short films titled, “Night Owls”. The films were initially released online, but due to legal reasons, they have long since been removed from the Internet. “Night Owls” which is inspired by actual events, comes alive through richly exaggerated characters and surreal moments. All of which is set in the backdrop of Mitchell’s native San Fernando Valley.
Q and A after the screening with star/director Brendan Mitchell and Gabriel Mercado.

Swampy's Diaries

For the “bootleg artist” known as Swampy, the world is an endless living canvas. Variations on his signature “swampdonkey” tag — the skull of some imaginary tusked creature — can be found in almost every imaginable setting across America: dilapidated skyscrapers in Oakland, Calif.; train trestles in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico; gallery walls in Atlanta or Brooklyn.
