PISCES ASCENDING is a screening of moving image centered around magic, healing and identity. Recovery and discovery of self are unraveled through feminized practices, such as astrology, dance and poetry. From animation to the diaristic, the films and videos included in this program are all made by femme-identified makers residing in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Baguettes and cheese will be served!
 
Featuring work by Nazlı DinçelEmily Downes, Britany Gunderson, Kym McDaniel, Grace Mitchell, Maeve Jackson and Ariel Teal.

Swampy's Diaries

For the “bootleg artist” known as Swampy, the world is an endless living canvas. Variations on his signature “swampdonkey” tag — the skull of some imaginary tusked creature — can be found in almost every imaginable setting across America: dilapidated skyscrapers in Oakland, Calif.; train trestles in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico; gallery walls in Atlanta or Brooklyn.
