. This program will feature two works by Lyra Hill—her anaglyphic 3D 16mm film Breathe with Cube and Happy Ending, a performance for three 35mm slide projectors and custom shutter device. Jodie Mack & Lisa Marr will show their collaborative Super 8 double projection work 50 Flowers, a cross-country collaboration on one winter’s day inspired by the young unsung artists of Atelier Martine. WAYWARD EMULSIONS: FILMS BY TINA TAKEMOTO

Takemoto’s new works explore queer Asian American history and identity through found imagery and an array of handmade techniques including painting, bleaching, and lifting emulsion from stray reels of 35mm films. Takemoto is currently an artist-in-residence for +Lab hosted by Visual Communications and the Little Tokyo Service Center.
