. This program will feature two works by Lyra Hill—her anaglyphic 3D 16mm film Breathe with Cube and Happy Ending, a performance for three 35mm slide projectors and custom shutter device. Jodie Mack & Lisa Marr will show their collaborative Super 8 double projection work 50 Flowers, a cross-country collaboration on one winter’s day inspired by the young unsung artists of Atelier Martine. Other works TBA!  FILMMAKERS IN ATTENDANCE!

Portals are openings, specific entrées through which something might be viewed or moved: elaborate and glamorous in of themselves -- the destination is elevated by the threshold itself. In fantasy, portals operate as a symbol for cataclysmic change, the moment after which the protagonist's worldview is not the same.

Swampy's Diaries

For the “bootleg artist” known as Swampy, the world is an endless living canvas. Variations on his signature “swampdonkey” tag — the skull of some imaginary tusked creature — can be found in almost every imaginable setting across America: dilapidated skyscrapers in Oakland, Calif.; train trestles in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico; gallery walls in Atlanta or Brooklyn.
