LA AIR invites local artists to utilize EPFC resources in creating and premiering new, experimental, documentary, and personal work over a two-month period. Join us for a screening of work by Nesanet Abegaze that celebrates family, memory, and the will to keep ancestral knowledge alive. Footage for the film was shot in Gondar, Ethiopia and Los Angeles and hand processed at EPFC during Nesanet’s January/February LA AIR.   Ethiopian coffee will be served! FREE EVENT! FILMMAKER IN ATTENDANCE!

Swampy's Diaries

For the “bootleg artist” known as Swampy, the world is an endless living canvas. Variations on his signature “swampdonkey” tag — the skull of some imaginary tusked creature — can be found in almost every imaginable setting across America: dilapidated skyscrapers in Oakland, Calif.; train trestles in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico; gallery walls in Atlanta or Brooklyn.
