Intro to 16mm Filmmaking

SUNDAY, November 10: 11 AM – 4 PM

An introduction to 16mm film mechanics using Bolex reflex cameras. In this one-day workshop, participants will learn basic camera operation and hand-processing technique. No previous filmmaking experience necessary. All equipment and materials provided by EPFC. Class limited to 9 students.

Instructors: Paolo Davanzo and Lisa Marr

Tuition: $75/$60 EPFC members

In the August edition of EPFC’s CARE PACKAGE series join the dynamic LA filmmaker Karissa Hahn in making your very own 16mm films and optical soundtracks with a standard home office inkjet printer. The workshop is FREE and ALL-AGES! You do not need a printer to participate. Following the conclusion of the workshop participants will receive their 16mm inkjet film along with a digital transfer, as well as a copy of Karissa’s inkjet printing ‘zine, HOME OFFICE CINEMA.
