Join us for a very special evening with two of our favorite Canadians when the always-inspiring Deirdre Logue and Allyson Mitchell show/share/ discuss their individual and collective practices which span film, video, installation, drawing, music, performance and activism. Using performance for the camera as a primary mode of production, Logue’s self-portraits investigate what it means to be a queer body in the age of anxiety. Through the use of reclaimed textile and abandoned craft, Mitchell explores contemporary ideas about sexuality, autobiography, and the body. http://deirdrelogue.com/ http://www.allysonmitchell.com ARTISTS IN ATTENDANCE!

Punto y Raya (Dot & Line), dubbed “the most abstract festival in the world” by the Japanese press, fosters experimentation in visual arts through the use of pure Form, Colour, Motion and Sound, avoiding direct representation. This selection features the 18 finalist and awarded films in their latest edition, which took place in October 2018 at CeTA (Audiovisual Technology Center) in Wroclaw, Poland.
"Although I started in this world as an editor thinking of learning visual effects, I unexpectedly fell in love with 35mm analog photography, and little by little I met the world of super 8 and 16mm, so I immediately started experimenting with the grain, the scratches and the infinite possibilities the analog world has to offer."
