HAIKU YOU – AN ALL-AGES FILM POETRY WORKSHOP

FREE EVENT! 

“A Japanese verse form most often composed, in English versions, of three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables. A haiku often features an image, or a pair of images, meant to depict the essence of a specific moment in time.”—Poetry Foundation

In this workshop for poets and new poets, filmmakers and new filmmakers, we’ll use the natural wonders of the season as our inspiration to write and share haikus and then turn them into a collaborative short film. Free event! Everyone welcome!

INTRO TO SUPER 8 and 16MM Filmmaking - a free outdoor workshop!

OUTDOORS AT EPFC LOS ANGELES | SATURDAY, JANUARY 29: Noon – 3 pm Discover the joys of analog filmmaking with this fun, free, outdoor hands-on intro class to Super 8 and 16mm. We’ll learn about film history, camera mechanics and analogue cinematography techniques and then put our new knowledge into practice as we do some filmming of our own using a Canon Super 8 camera and a 16mm Bolex camera. Workshop limited to 6 participants.
