HAIKU YOU – AN ALL-AGES FILM POETRY WORKSHOP

“A Japanese verse form most often composed, in English versions, of three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables. A haiku often features an image, or a pair of images, meant to depict the essence of a specific moment in time.”—Poetry Foundation

In this workshop for poets and new poets, filmmakers and new filmmakers, we’ll use the natural wonders of the season as our inspiration to write and share haikus and then turn them into a collaborative short film. Free event! Everyone welcome!

Instructor Will O'Loughlen will breaks down the entire import-to-output process—ideal as an overview for new editors, and a good crash course for editors migrating from other platforms. This class is offered free online via Zoom; participants are welcome to work along with Will on their own computers equipped with Premiere, or simply observe.
