FILMMOBILE SUMMER SCREENING SERIES 2018: AUGUST 10, 17, 24 AND 31!

Angelenos are invited to discover and explore their changing urban landscape this August when the Filmmobile projects an array of classic films at cinematic locations across the city! Events begin at 8 pm for four consecutive Friday nights beginning August 10. Locations announced 24 hours prior to event @EPFCfilmmobile on Twitter and Instagram. Refreshments provided! Bring a chair! Free admission! Everyone welcome! This year’s theme is ACTION! with all films directed by fierce, fabulous women.

The August 31 screening of Lois Weber’s 1916 feminist silent classic Shoes takes place at 719 S. Broadway (on the sidewalk in front of Ross Dress For Less) Downtown LA 90013. Live original score by FeM Synth Lab!!!! See you there!

Los Angeles Filmforum is pleased to present the work of Berlin-based filmmaker Ute Aurand with the artist in attendance. Throughout this body of work, distinct attention is given to the inner dialogues of thought and the tactile experiences of women. Considered as portraits, her subjects do not reside in isolation, but move in conversation with their surroundings and with the interactive circuits of the filmmaker.
