EPFC 15th Anniversary Marathon!

Saturday, December 10 at 7 PM

Celebrate fifteen years (15!) of the Echo Park Film Center with films, videos, music, music videos, performances, poetry, and more, stretching into the early hours of the morning. Donations in any amount go towards keeping EPFC operations up and running for the year to come. We’ll be screening brand new Super 8 films commissioned by EPFC by artists including Basma Alsharif, Leah Bordenga, Grace Franco, Gelare Khoshgozaran, Lexi Lutter, Gregory Mahoney, and Max Winter. We’ll also have works by alumni of our LA AIR residency program (showing work not necessarily made while in residence), including Tuni Chatterji’s 16mm musical Twitterpated, Edgar Momplaisir’s residency film meditating upon the experiences of depression and anxiety from men of color, John Palmer’s Super 8 documentary Make or Break Us, a new video by Sharmaine Starks, and Haruko Tanaka’s I Love You. Plus so much more!

FIRE, FLOOD AND FREEWAY

Fire, Flood and Freeway is a touring program of films and videos by Los Angeles-based artists. This eclectic program features works from the Echo Park Film Center Co-op, a group of activists, filmmakers, volunteers, and educators dedicated to providing media arts access to underserved populations and giving people the tools to tell their own stories in their own voices.
