ACTION FIGURE FILM FESTIVAL

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 16 at 8 PM

Doors 7:30 pm; $5 admission.
The Denver-based traveling event the Action Figure Film Festival, once known as the G.I. Joe Stop Motion Film Festival, will come out to play on Saturday, November 16th, at the EPFC.
Though the name change shifts away from GI JOE figures, it also opens the festival to a whole new crop of characters.
All films were created in stop-motion animation fashion and just about anything goes. Filmmakers from around the world submitted hundreds of action figure themed works in various genres, from somber war dramas to slapstick.
Come watch old classics and brand new films as we celebrate the art of stop-motion at the 2019 Action Figure Film Festival.

Online Pay-What-You-Can Event! The Sound We See: A New Haven City Symphony was created in the summer of 2019 as Artspace's 19th annual Summer Apprenticeship Program. This program gave twenty-two local teens, who are enrolled in one of New Haven’s Public High Schools, the opportunity to work together alongside Los Angeles based filmmakers Paolo Davanzo and Lisa Marr for three weeks in July 2019. Together, they produced a film that envisions a summer day in the life of New Haven.
