Shot on 16mm by a dynamic team of street-engaged youth with a live musical score created especially for the event, the film shares a unique view of a rapidly-transforming city described by tourist brochures as “Spectacular by nature.”

Attention, West Coast Canadian Friends! Underway now is The Sound We See: A Vancouver City Symphony, facilitated by Echo Park Film Center, Gathering Place and Cineworks.
In this screening and talk taking place January 21 at Cineworks, EPFC’s Lisa Marr and Paolo Davanzo will situate the project as part of their international work as socially engaged filmmakers, in which The Sound We See has become a productive tool for crossing borders, challenging social boundaries and facilitating creative inquiry through analogue filmmaking.
