EPFC Archive Deep Dive

EPFC | April 8th, 2020

This week on the Deep Dive we’re celebrating The Sound We See: A Los Angeles City Symphony created by the 37 participants of  EPFC’s Fall 2010 Youth Filmmaking Class and the first in our international series of community-made analog films that celebrate the contemporary urban (and not-so urban!) environments. This amazing poster was created for the premiere by EPFC Co-op Member Cosmo Segurson, who was also one of the instructors and part of the amazing musical ensemble for the SWS: LA project. We’re streaming clips from the film all week on Instagram @EPFCfilmmobile. Enjoy!

EPFC Archive Deep Dive: Filmmaking Workshops for Seniors

EPFC | March 31st, 2020

This week we celebrate our Echo Park Film Center’s Amazing Elders with an image of one of EPFC’s very first Seniors Filmmaking Workshops, facilitated by EPFC Co-Founder Ken Fountain (far right). Yes, that is a Dennis Kucinich For President T-shirt and yes, Ellen is still fighting for people’s politics and social justice!

This Week at Echo Park Film Center: Archive Deep Dive!

EPFC | March 23rd, 2020

While EPFC screenings, workshops, rentals and store hours are currently on hold as we do our part to keep everybody safe and healthy, we’re celebrating 20 years of cinematic magic with a new series: Archive Deep Dive! Each week we’ll share some treats from past EPFC screenings, workshops and special events, starting with a photo featuring EPFC Equipment Guru Andrew Kim as a Filmmobile Summer Screening Series audience member waaaaaaay back in 2010!
